Once you are over the basics and delving into the realm of small chitchat, bring up something interesting about yourself. Tell them about your hobbies or something that might shock and surprise them as they thought you were a shy kind of person. I bet if you really think about it, you can think of lots of interesting things about yourself if you put your mind to it.
Remember however, do not talk about yourself all night, you don’t want to appear self-infatuated. Ask them what they do for a living, what they enjoy doing when it is time to relax and if you find any common grounds, discuss them. Within no time at all the conversation will be flowing and you will know each other’s life stories. Do not give away everything though, you’ll need something juicy to talk about on your next date!
